Come and explore the 10-day Italian Food Festival, which will be held at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat from March 10 through March 19, 2023, under the direction of Chef Matteo Girelli. A fantastic beverage menu and top-notch Italian wine selections will ring in the festivities.

Matteo Girelli studied culinary skills in Italy and Nice. Her mother is Italian, therefore cooking is in his blood. He was introduced to contemporary Italian cuisine while growing up in various regions of Europe, and it quickly captured his attention. Years later, having developed his own culinary abilities under the guidance of renowned Chefs Troisgros and Girelli, Chef Matteo traveled to France and Spain to get fully immersed in the local way of life, cuisine, and cooking techniques.

This food festival will not only showcase the diverse flavors of Italian cuisine but will also be a hands-on learning experience for the culinary team’s interactive cooking sessions.

Chef Matteo emphasizes premium Italian products, fresh vegetables, homemade pasta, antipasti, and cheese station as well as pizza as part of the buffet to enhance the festival’s flavor profile.

The event will highlight Chef’s special ‘Arancini Di Riso (chicken)’, ‘FrittoMisto’, ‘Insalatacaprise’, ‘Veg al forno’, ‘Peperonata’, ‘Gattò di patate’, ‘Lamb shank’, ‘Tuscan roast pork belly’, ‘Tiramisu cheese cake’, ‘Amalfi lemon cake’, ‘Hazelnut meringue cake’, ‘Chocolate espresso tart’ and other dishes.
