The countdown to Durga Puja has started, and Sun Bangla will celebrate Mahalaya with its special show, Abhayashakti Yug-e Yug-e Aparajita, scheduled for 10th October at 5 AM.

For the first time on Sun Bangla, renowned actress Ditipriya Roy will play the role of Maa Durga. In a multi-layered performance, she will portray Devi Parvati, Devi Ugrachandi, and Maa Bhadrakali, unifying the various forms of the Divine Mother into a single story.

The story vividly highlights the importance of these Adyashakti forms. Maa Durga is the manifestation of the Divine Mother who intervenes to safeguard the gods and humanity from the oppression of Mahishasura, thereby securing the triumph of righteousness. Mata Parvati, the maternal aspect of Adyashakti and wife of Mahadev, embodies yet another form of the Divine Mother. Devi Ugrachandi, a fierce and potent manifestation of Devi Mahamaya, embodies the power that eradicates evil and upholds righteousness. Maa Bhadrakali, a powerful yet compassionate manifestation of Goddess Durga, symbolizes the eradication of evil and the upholding of dharma and justice.

Adding to the story, Sayan will play Mahishasura, and Abhishek Singh will portray Shiva. Mishti Singha Roy will portray Shyama. Several well-known Sun Bangla artists will also take on key roles.

Through dynamic choreography, intense battle sequences, evocative music, and powerful visual storytelling, Abhayashakti Yug-e Yug-e Aparajita merges mythology, performance, and grand spectacle into a unique Mahalaya presentation.

Mahalaya signals the start of Devi Paksha and concludes Pitri Paksha, marking the onset of Durga Puja. In its Mahalaya special, Sun Bangla presents a story highlighting the various forms and expressions of the Divine Mother.

Abhayashakti Yug-e Yug-e Aparajita will be  aired on 10th October at 5 AM, only on Sun Bangla.
