Hilsa is revered as the “Queen of Fish” and is valued for its unique flavor and delicate texture in the region’s culinary customs. The carefully crafted menu offers guests an immersive taste of Bengal’s enduring culinary heritage by reimagining this beloved catch through a harmonious and time-honored dish.

The experience offers a laid-back setting for leisurely lunches and intimate dinners, set within the warm and elegant ambiance of Darjeeling Lounge, a charming tea lounge known for its artisanal single-estate teas brewed to perfection, premium coffees, and thoughtfully curated light bites. The specially designed menu celebrates Hilsa’s enduring place in Bengal’s rich culinary traditions while showcasing its versatility.

The offering is available all August from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM, allowing patrons to enjoy the most popular fish of the season at their own leisure.

Choose one of the signature dishes from the à la carte menu to enjoy a carefully prepared Hilsa experience: Illish Macher Patla Jhol, Illish Korma, Laupata Aam Illish, Madhu Malai Illish, or Sugandhi Illish Bhapa. Steamed rice, crisp Aloo Bhaja, and Illish Bhaja Tel are served with every meal to create a healthy homage to Bengal’s favorite monsoon dish. The starting price for the experience is Rs 2,500 plus taxes.

Patrons can enjoy a curated Hilsa Thali at Eden Pavilion, ITC Sonar while choosing from any one Hilsa Main Course from Doi Illish/ Illish Bhapa / Illish Maher Tel Jhal / Begun Illish paired with Illish Bhaja (1 pcs), Macher Tel, Aloo Bhate, Begun Bhaja, Biyulir Dal or Sona moong er dal, Aloo Posto or Lau Diye Bori Ghonto, Illish Macher Matha Diye Chorchori, Steam Rice, Mishti Doi, Rasgulla and Sandesh at Rs 2500 + taxes per guest.
