Fface unveiled the top fifteen finalists of Fface Anokhi at an event held at The Park, Kolkata.

The unveiling took place in the presence of Neil Roy, Founder and Director of Fface, Falaque Rashid Roy, Satrajit Sen, Indroneel Mukherjee, Paromita Ghosh, Akash Rohira and Jimmy Tangree.

Also gracing the event was the team of the upcoming Bengali film Parineeta consisting of director Raj Chakraborty, Adrit Roy, Subhashree Ganguly and others.

100 participants took part in the pageant. The judges selected 15 participants from each country. Out of 15 women selected, the top 10 contestants of each country will be selected for the final round. The finale will take place in Thailand.

The team of Parineeta unveiled the name of the participants and also cut a cake with Parineeta written on top of it.

Speaking at the event, Subhashree Ganguly said “Fface Anokhi is a great initiative to provide a platform to those women who need a platform to showcase their talents. It is not about how one looks but it is essential to know about the personality of the women concerned. This is a great initiative”.

Raj Chakraborty said that with the help of Parineeta he will be able to prove that he can make films which are not commercial or remakes. But he can also tell great stories too. This film will show to the audience the acting prowess of Subhashree as an actress, revealed the director.

The release date of the film has been changed to 6th September.
