Fine Dining Restaurant Sorano Offers Regional Italian Cuisine To Patrons
The pioneer of Italian dining in Kolkata, Manifest Hospitality, has now introduced a premium fine dining experience unmatched anywhere in the city. The restaurant bears the name of Sorano, a town and commune in the southern Italian region of Tuscany famous for its scenery, history, and creative legacy.
Sorano, an establishment with 124 seats, offers regional Italian cuisine in the most genuine manner imaginable.
Crudo, Truffle Cacio Pepe Eclairs, Quattro Formaggio Ravioli, Textures of Tomato, various handcrafted hand-rolled pasta, homemade cheeses, and Deconstructed Tiramisu are just a few examples of the signature dishes available to diners. The chefs create fresh mozzarella, burrata, and a variety of other fresh cheeses in an on-site Fromagerie.
Visitors will be able to see their hand-crafted pizzas being baked using the time-tested, traditional method used in Naples, Italy to make pizza.
The beverage selection was created with the textures and flavors of Italian cuisine in mind. Some standout combinations are The Butterfly Effect, Rose and Hibiscus, Limon Meringue, and Truffle Agrodolce. The beverages perfectly compliment the food, elevating the palate’s experience.
“We have been operating Italian restaurants for 14 years and are highly passionate about the cuisine and culture,” said Saket Agarwal, co-founder of Manifest Hospitality.
“Our first company, Casa Toscana, opened more than ten years ago and offers food in the Trattoria style. The dishes on the menu at Sorano are inspired by our travels and expertise in Italian and modern cuisine, and they represent the finest of this abundant nation’s various areas. We also have several contemporary adaptations of different Italian recipes that don’t sacrifice flavor or ingredient quality” added Mr. Agarwal.
Sorano was designed by Design Brewing Co. founder Nivedita Agarwal and is inspired by traditional Italian buildings. The restaurant boasts high ceilings, raw finishes, and soothing textures. It is divided into several areas that resemble old Tuscan residences, including a verandah, a private dining room, a little but adorable nook, a huge dining area, and a bar area. Larger private parties can combine these rooms. Each part contains a straightforward component that makes an impact.
The diners are directed to the entrance of Sorano via a 100-year-old staircase. Through an arched European-style passageway in the main hall, you can access the different areas of the restaurant. Arched ceilings and a cluster of hanging lanterns in the dining area provide a cozy atmosphere for diners.
Sorano wants to revive the slow-living culture of Italy. A place that invites you to stop for a talk, grab an espresso, or sit back and relax as you eat traditional Italian food and sip wine or a refreshing beverage. Through a sensory experience, the diners will be transported to the Tuscan Valleys through food. The restaurant is near Park Street, and is open from noon until midnight.
