GD Goenka Sports Arena To Foster Excellent Sports Culture
The GD Goenka Sports Arena was unveiled by GD Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj, in association with the well-known sports and event management business ITMagia and the sports-tech company Push Sports.
An acre of state-of-the-art facilities, including an impressive 9v9 football pitch approved by FIFA, four cricket pitches with bowling machines, pickleball, and padel courts, an indoor basketball and badminton facility, a heated covered swimming pool and a volleyball court, are all nestled within the expansive school campus.
India acknowledges the vital role that fitness and sports play in people’s lives, in the well-being of society and in the advancement of the country. People who actively participate in sports instill principles of leadership, goal-setting, collaboration, and strategic thinking, which strengthen and improve society. One of the most beneficial things young people in any community can do with their free time is play sports.
In this sense, 3000 students will be served by the GD Goenka Sports Arena, allowing them to concentrate on their health and fitness. Additionally, the academy will continue to run for children after school hours.
The inaugural event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities, including actor and TV personality Rannvijay Singha and Abhinandan Sekhri, Co-Founder and CEO of Newslaundry.
Aspiring programs like the FIT India Movement and the Khelo India program demonstrate India’s dedication to reviving the country’s sports culture at the local level and encouraging physical fitness as a necessary component of daily life. India hopes to create a country where all citizens embrace an active lifestyle and contribute to a more vibrant and healthy community by encouraging local sports, raising awareness, and offering easily accessible fitness platforms.
On the pitch with the students, Mr. Nipun Goenka, Mr. Rannvijay Singha, Mr. Abhinandan Sekhri, and Mr. Hemant Sharma, Co-Founder and Executive Director at Legends Cup, demonstrated their abilities and spirit of competition.
Superb sports facilities, such as the GD Goenka Sports Arena, will also promote mass sports participation to foster an excellence-oriented culture. This would help athletes reach their greatest potential and advance India’s status as a multidisciplinary university with ICAR, BCI, and UGC accreditation in addition to making it a dominant force in sports.
