“Kolkata is family for me. I do not know what good deed I did in my previous life that I have received such love from Kolkata. As far as friends are concerned, they are the family we can choose. Kolkata chose me many years ago” said Akriti Kakar at the press conference of McDowell’s No 1 Yaari Jam Fest powered by SVF.

Also gracing the occasion were Rupam Islam and Raftaar.

Rupam Islam said, “Music is the greatest friendship of all. Music binds us all irrespective of borders”.

Akriti Kakar said that she hoped that the trio will be able to enjoy themselves and also make the audience entertained. “It is only when we enjoy ourselves that we can make the audiences enjoy our songs and performances. I am looking forward to the performances as we represent three different kinds of music. However, the common factor is music and that binds us all” said Akriti.

Raftaar said “It will be an amazing experience for sure. After the show, I am going to take Rupam and Akriti for dinner. This will further our bonds of friendship. I am also thankful and blessed that I will be able to perform with two such amazing talents”.

The singers said that they will be performing their hit songs at the event. There will also be surprises for the audience as well.
