“Anamika Bole Dakte Pari Ki Tomay?”- a novel by eminent singer Rupam Islam was unveiled in the presence of the singer, journalist Gautam Bhattacharya, and Deeptangshu Mandol from Deep Prakashan.

Earlier Rupam Islam had written on music like Biswarupam, Rockstar, Ei To Ami, Rupam On The Rocks, and many more. This is the first time that the singer had tried his hands at writing a novel.

The novel is about a psychologist Brahma Thakur. He is a unique person. If his enemy shows him a gun, he takes the gun from them and even returns it to them. As a result, his enemy gets perplexed. They even cannot shoot at him using the gun. But why does this happen? He has some hidden weapons. What are those? That is what is mentioned in the book.

Rupam revealed that two of his favorite writers are Satyajit Ray, Sunil Gangopadhyay, and Humayun Ahmed. He has been much influenced by them. Neither Satyajit Ray nor Sunil Gangopadhyay started writing on their own. They started writing due to other factors. Rupam was already writing on musical topics and hence writing a novel should not be much of a problem.

He was already writing stories for a reputed Bengali newspaper. Those are very popular among the readers. The singer thought that now was the perfect time to write a novel. And hence he wrote on Brahma Thakur.

1200 copies of the book have been pre-booked already and this is a record, according to the publishing house.
