In IB71, the story of a mission that has been unclaimed for 50 years is finally revealed on the big screen. Vidyut Jammwal was in Kolkata to promote this upcoming Bollywood film.

The actor visited the Kalighat temple before attending the press conference in Kolkata.

The IB71 trailer, which has been highly anticipated all year, is finally out. With his debut production, Vidyut Jammwal, who plays the lead role of an Intelligence Bureau (IB) agent on a mission to save the country, reveals India’s top-secret mission.

IB71 features tense scenes, suspenseful moments that keep you on the edge of your seat, and a star-studded cast.

“Not many films are made on Intelligence Bureau in India. though we are aware of the Intelligence Bureau of other countries, we are confused about the agency in India. This film was made to show their work and contributions. IB71 tells the tale of the most secret mission that helped us win the Indo-Pak War in 1971. Bringing this account of our IB (Intelligence Bureau) officers, who are the real unsung heroes of India, makes me very happy” said the actor.

The film is directed by Sankalp Reddy.

Speaking at the press conference, the actor said “I respect women very much. This is the reason why I went to the Kalighat temple and asked for blessings from Ma Kali. I have lived in Kolkata since my childhood. I used to study in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Fort Williams. So when I started the promotion of this film, I wanted to come here”.

IB71 is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Film, and Reliance Entertainment.

The shoot of the film has been done in Kashmir. It was shot for 50 days there.

“The main aim of Action Hero Films has been to provide a platform to new talents. For this film, we needed 30 officers. So we picked and selected actors whom I had seen before. Though they might not be very popular now, they are great actors” added Vidyut.

The Action Hero Films production stars Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher, and Vishal Jethwa in pivotal roles and is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Action Hero Films, and Reliance Entertainment.

When asked for the reasons to watch this film, Vidyut said “Firstly, this shows a story that has never been told before. Secondly, a great story with an amazing cast. And thirdly, one must know about the contributions of these individuals who work in the Intelligence Bureau of India”.

Vidyut’s next film shows how Indians live a life of extreme sports. Though foreigners might excel in extreme sports, they find it difficult to cross roads in India or travel in crowded trains or buses. But Indians do this very easily and regularly.
