In keeping with the company’s effort to support the government’s “Make in India” vision, the cutting-edge greenfield facility was unveiled in front of Mr. Mohit Burman, Promoter and Non-Executive Director, Eveready Industries India Ltd.

Established with an investment of about Rs 200 crore, Eveready’s new manufacturing facility boasts a strong yearly peak production capacity of about 360 million alkaline batteries with an annual installed capacity of 456 million. Eveready’s Jammu facility, which represents a major increase in the industry’s production capacity, will boost domestic manufacturing in India and meet the nation’s expanding need for high-performance power solutions. Additionally, the plant will boost supply chain resilience, increase margin efficiency, and lessen India’s reliance on imports. Additionally, the facility will enable Eveready to serve both domestic and foreign markets and grow its business through white labeling. This project supports Eveready’s goal of becoming a major player in the alkaline battery market worldwide.

Eveready’s state-of-the-art facility will be essential to the company’s growth in the rapidly expanding alkaline market while satisfying consumer demand, which is fueled by the rising use of high-drain devices in India. The company intends to contribute to India’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision in the energy solutions category while guaranteeing consistent quality and supply by bolstering local manufacturing and creating over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities at full scale in the Jammu region.
