The one-day event JIS Education Expo 2026– Durgapur Edition was inaugurated in the august presence of Sri Chandra Sekhar Banerjee, MLA, Durgapur Purba Assembly Constituency; Sri Abul Kalam Azad Islam, Commissioner, Durgapur Municipal Corporation; Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group; Sri Bidyut Majumder, Deputy Director, JIS Group, and Dr. Pralay Ganguly, Principal, GNIHM along with senior officials of JIS Group.

The event reaffirmed the Group’s dedication to empowering young minds with well-informed academic and career choices by bringing together students, parents, educators, and academic leaders under one roof.

Students from more than 130 schools in Paschim Bardhaman, Purbo Bardhaman, Bankura, Bolpur, Dhanbad, and Purulia enthusiastically participated in the Expo, which gave them a special chance to investigate a variety of higher education options through professional interactions, individualized counseling, and hands-on learning sessions.

The Expo demonstrated the wide range of educational options provided by JIS Group Educational Initiatives at the diploma, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. It included 39 institutions, 185 academic programs, and a vibrant academic ecosystem of more than 50,000 students.

Parents and prospective students were able to interact directly with academic experts, faculty, and admission counselors through interactive institutional pavilions. These one-on-one conversations offered insightful information about future-ready learning pathways, career opportunities, admissions processes, and emerging disciplines.

The celebration of the top students in Classes 10 and 12 from participating schools in all three districts was one of the Expo’s main highlights. The event honored the young scholars’ accomplishments and encouraged thousands of students to strive for academic excellence.

Along with professional talks, one-on-one career counseling sessions, and practical workshops, the Expo offered students advice on career planning, stream selection, industry trends, and selecting programs that matched their goals in a changing global environment.

The JIS Education Expo has developed into a significant venue where opportunities and aspirations collide.
