Kaantaye Kaantaye, which stars the versatile Saswata Chatterjee as P.K. Basu, transports audiences to the realm of the stormy Darjeeling backdrop. The director of Kaantaye Kaantaye, Joydeep Mukherjee, said “It has been a rewarding experience to adapt the beloved Sonar Kanta by Narayan Sanyal. We’ve added contemporary components while maintaining the emotional nuance of the original to create a suspenseful and thought-provoking thriller. The series, which takes place against Darjeeling’s breathtakingly gorgeous background, examines justice, resiliency, and bereavement”.
Speaking candidly about his portrayal of P.K. Basu, Saswata Chatterjee said, “Playing Basu has been a profound journey. He is a thoughtful and sensitive man negotiating a dangerous circumstance while dealing with personal tragedy. I’m excited for the audience to go on this thrilling journey with Basu as he pursues justice by conquering his demons”.
Regarding her role as Rani Basu, Ananya Chatterjee said, “Playing Rani has been both challenging and rewarding. Despite being a grieving mother, she continues to be her husband’s rock.
