Karim’s: Original from Jama Masjid Is Now Open In Madhyamgram

After eateries, there are establishments. Karim’s: Original from Jama Masjid is definitely the latter.
Founded in 1913, the company began as a small kitchen close to the ancient Jama Masjid premises and has since expanded to become one of India’s most well-known guardians of Mughlai cuisine, a culinary tradition based on the opulence of royal kitchens and the discipline of age-old technique.
Karim’s launches its first location in this expanding suburban area in April 2026, close to BT College in Madhyamgram. The arrival is more than just the opening of a new eatery; it’s the beginning of a heritage dining experience molded by memory, tradition, and skillful cooking.
Under the direction of Director Anurag Dey, Alan Enterprise runs the Madhyamgram location. The company’s mission is to uphold the standards that define the Karim brand while bringing a reputable national legacy closer to the local community.
Continuity is the key to Karim’s. Here, recipes are carefully conserved, improved, and passed down rather than being created from scratch.
The kitchen at Karim’s operates with a quiet reverence for authenticity, from the traditional nihari to the classic korma. Every dish embodies the brand’s guiding principles, which have been in place for generations: respect the ingredient, respect the method, and give it time to do its job.
Chefs trained in the original Delhi tradition uphold this culinary discipline at the Madhyamgram location, using tried-and-true spice blends that stay true to the brand’s history. The end product is a menu that is both recognizable and unique—comforting in its genuineness but refined in its execution. This cuisine doesn’t follow fads. It respects ancestry.
The outlet, which is roughly 2,350 square feet in size and can seat 85 people at 17 tables, offers a setting that strikes a balance between coziness and subtle elegance. A well-planned dining flow, thoughtful interiors, and attentive service combine to create a celebratory yet cozy experience.
The restaurant was designed to accommodate the changing lifestyle of the community while preserving the elegance of a traditional dining establishment. It offers air-conditioned dining, valet parking, and dine-in and takeaway options.
In many respects, it is set to emerge as the region’s new culinary focal point—a location where families congregate, significant events are commemorated, and weekend meals become enduring memories.
The Madhyamgram location, which falls into the upper mid-range to mass-premium category, is intended to accommodate a variety of dining occasions.
The space’s adaptability makes it a perfect fit for the rhythms of community life since it can be used for both regular dining and special events.
