A four-day book festival was announced in Kolkata from 28^th July to 31^st July at the Singhi Palace, Gariahat, Ballygunge. Kitab Lovers is a start-up company that specializes in selling new and used books at reasonable prices.

The main aim of the start-up company was to promote reading among the people and also make books affordable and accessible for all age groups of people.

Over 10 lakh new and used books from over 20 different categories will be available throughout the four-day event.

Some of the categories include romance, thriller, fiction, non-fiction, mystery, self-help, kids, teens, and many more.

The fair provides a unique “Load the Box” concept where visitors can pay once for a box and then load it up with as many books as it can contain as long as it can close flat.

“This is our fourth time in Kolkata, and we are looking forward to the fantastic response from the readers. People have enjoyed our ‘Load The Box’ concept in previous years,” said Rahul Pandey, co-founder of Kitab Lovers.

“Kitab Lovers is on a quest to promote and enhance Indians’ reading practices. Our fundamental driving force has always been our conviction that everyone should have access to the best books at the most reasonable costs. We are confident that our novel and the modern project will once again prove popular with book lovers in Kolkata, which also hosts one of the biggest international book fairs and frequent literary gatherings” added Rahul.

The selection of books at the book fair has been carefully chosen so that there is something for every reader, he continued. “Therefore, whether you choose a romance novel, crime fiction, historical novel, or even self-help books, we have it all accessible at our fair for everyone from a child to a senior citizen. We want to inspire more young people to spend time away from their electronics and instead immerse themselves in the wealth of knowledge that a book can provide through our “Load the Box” campaign” said Rahul.

There are three different box sizes:

The Money saver @ Rs 1100 (fits in 10-13books)

The Wealth Box @ Rs 1650 (fits in 17-20 books)

The Treasure Box @ Rs 2750 (fits in 30-33 books)
