Kolkata Police announced a collaboration with IEMA Research & Development, IEMLabs for organizing a Hackathon. The event will take place on 29^th July 2022 at Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Harikumar Kusumakar (IPS)- Additional Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Hrithik Lall- Chief Technical Officer, IEMLabs, and others graced the occasion.

With an increase in cyber-crime, there is a growing need for cyber security professionals who can use technology to combat these crimes. Hence this event will provide young minds with a platform to showcase their skills and also pave the way for better career opportunities.

Participants can register themselves through https://kolkatapolicehackathon.in. The last date of registration is 26^th July 2022. The registration fee is Rs 300 per participant.

For registering, one will have to go to the site and then hack it to get a referral code for filling up the form. Without the referral code, a participant will not be able to fill out the form. This will help in understanding that the participants who take part possess the basic skills of hacking.

The first three winners of the Hackathon would get Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 1 lakh, and Rs 50000 respectively and candidates ranked from 4^th to 10^th will receive consolation prizes.

The top 10 participants will further get a chance to get an internship under Kolkata Police and work on real-life projects to gather knowledge.
