P. C. Chandra Group in association with Eastern India Cinetel Welfare Trust organized the 9th edition of their CSR initiative PC Chandra Tribute. This initiative offers financial support to eleven yesteryears film personalities & technicians from the Bengali film industry.

Chief guests Laboni Sarkar and Arjun Chakraborty along with Prosanto Chandra, Joint Managing Director, P.C. Chandra Jewellers graced the event.

This program aims to help neglected performers, technicians, and people who work behind the scenes in the Bengali film and entertainment industries. These individuals have made significant contributions to Bengali cinema. This modest gift is given as a sign of thanks and respect for the job that these individuals accomplished during their prime.

The list of recipients in 2022 includes names like actor Director-Writer Biresh Chatterjee, Electrician Khadu Patro, Actor Shyamal Roychowdhury, Actress Arundhati De, Actress Sipra Sarkar, Actor Ajit Kumar Mitra, Sound Recordist Kesto Das, Editor Indranil Chatterjee, Assistant Director Paritosh Das, Art Director Birabar Biswal and Make-Up Artist Panchanan Manna. The Group is providing Rs. 5000/- per month for 1 year to 10 artists/technicians /assistant directors and Rs. 10,000/- per month to ShriBiresh Chatterjee for a period of 1 year.

The P.C. Chandra Group has always been a corporate leader in social responsibility. The Group has constantly provided aid to medical and educational institutions, backed women’s emancipation and environmental awareness campaigns, and promoted cultural and sporting events.
