In the august presence of eminent Bharatnatyam dancer Mallika Sarabhai, Bengal, Science, Technology and Biotechnology Minister Bratya Basu, TMC MP Saugata Roy, Pachu Roy and other eminent dignitaries, the third edition of Dumdum Classical Music Festival was inaugurated.

The eminent dignitaries were felicitated at the event.

Speaking at the event, Mallika Sarabhai said “I have always liked coming to Kolkata. And so when I was asked to come and inaugurate this event, I was more than happy to be a part of such a prestigious event happening in Kolkata”.

Raju Sen Sharma is the convenor of the program. “I got a call from a gentleman who is a NRI and wanted to come and see this musical event. He is a great fan of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and always goes to where he performs. This is a great thing for the music festival organized in Dum Dum” said Raju Sen Sharma.

The two day saw performances by eminent stalwarts like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Kaushiki Chakraborty and others.
