Star Jalsha is all ready to bring back the faith, devotion with their new serial Durga Durgeshwari. A press meet was organized in the presence of the cast and crew of the serial.

Star Jalsha will be completing 11 years of its journey in Bengal in September and this serial is the perfect gift for the audiences. The core story of the serial is about the triumph of good over evil which is showcased through the journey of an ardent Maa Durga devotee.

Dugga is an ardent devotee of Maa Durgeshwari. Dugga embarks on a journey to save Omkar, her husband who is a victim of the conspiracies hatched by his aunt, Ujjwaini, a renowned astrologer. Ujjwaini also wants the temple so that she can show to the people that what she says are actually words of the gods. Hence begins the tussle between the good and the evil forces.

The serial is from the house of Shree Venkatesh Films.

Sampurna and Biswarup will be seen portraying the characters of Dugga and Omkar in the serial.

Speaking about her character, Sampurna said “Dugga is raised by her uncle in the serial. She considers the Goddess as her mother in this serial. Belief and the constant tussle between the good and the bad is what will be shown in the serial. Durga was a famous serial and I hope that the audience showers equal amounts of love on this serial too”.

Biswarup did not reveal much about his character Omkar in the serial. “I have some powers which will be revealed in the course of the serial. It is due to these powers that I have that my aunt Ujjwaini conspires against me and tries to make me look like a mad person. Dugga will come in my life and save me from her evil plans” said the actor.

Durga Durgeshwari will air from 2^nd September onward, Monday to Sunday at 6.30 pm only on Star Jalsha SD and HD.
