In the august presence of His Excellency Hon’ble Zha Liyou, Consul General of The People’s Republic of China in Kolkata, David Larbalestier, former Director of Studies-Department of English, the University of Technology College Sydney, and other eminent dignitaries, the Mandarin Room and Chinese Language Program were inaugurated at St. Joan’s School.

School students performed a semi-classical dance in the presence of eminent guests.

Qualified teachers with Bachelors’s and Masters’s degrees in Chinese Language will teach the students.

The Mandarin language program will enable the students to pursue further studies in China. Knowledge of multiple languages is a valuable skill set. Mandarin will give them an additional boost to their careers.

Chinese dancers performed a spirited lion dance at the school, keeping the audience engaged.

The school will be introducing foreign languages in the curriculum in the future. It will ensure that the students who pass out from this school are better equipped with the changing times and have successful careers.
