Mascot & Theme Song Of 3rd Edition Of Techno Olympica Knights Out Now
Techno India Group announced the third edition of the inter-school sports competition Techno Olympica Knights.
The mascot for the event and the official theme song was launched by Dibyendu Barua, Chess Grand Master and Premjit Sen, Referee & Judge, World Karate Federation & Asian Karate Federation, Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group and Meghdut Roychowdhury, Founder of ‘Make Calcutta Relevant Again’ & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group.
Other Dignitaries and School Principals gracing the occasion were Sangeeta Tandon, Principal of Shri Shikshayatan School, Kolkata, Neeta Kanoria, Principal of Wings Pre School, Daycare & Activity Centre, Prof. Shabina N. Omar OSD, Education Directorate, Dept. of Higher Education, Govt of West Bengal and Bratati Bhattacharya, Founder Director, UEEF.
The main objectives of Techno Olympica Knights are to encourage sports in school and to house the best young athletes from West Bengal. Additionally, the program will provide a platform for the promotion and popularisation of a variety of sports that aren’t regularly given the chance to be highlighted in the city.
The registration process is free for the participating schools. Apart from individual medals and certificates, the top 3 schools will be awarded in terms of medals tally with Trophies and cash prizes worth Rs 50,000/-, Rs 30,000/- & Rs 20,000/-respectively. There will be prizes for Best Performer, The Best Cheering School, Fair Play, and a Special Cash Prize of Rs.5000/- along with a Trophy to a school that will have the best average point at medal tally (minimum 5 games attempted).
The competition boasts sporting activities like 5-a-Side Football, Volley Ball, Hockey, Table tennis, Badminton, Long Jump, Discuss throw, Individual Race/Relay Race, Free Style Swimming, Archery & Chess, which will be held in the following categories: Boys, Girls, Junior & Senior sections.
Techno Olympica Knights will be held in multiple locations including Techno India, Salt Lake Campus, Spuddy Badminton Academy & Sports Authority of India (SAI) Complex.
This sporting event will see the participation of 850 students from 50 schools across West Bengal.
It will begin on 29th November 2023 and end on 4th December.
