Mouni Roy Walked For Payal Singhal’s Resort Wear Collection-Painterly
Her National Award-winning, well-known artist grandfather J P Singhal, who served as her inspiration, ignited Payal Singhal’s passion for art. The epidemic gave her the chance to put a paintbrush to paper, which served as the “Painterly” collection’s source of inspiration for Lakmé Fashion Week.
The collection is geared toward resort clothing and a wedding-ready collection. Payal provided colorful abstract art and Mughal miniatures for collection purchasers.
Payal’s in-depth understanding of the needs of the Gen Z bride made sure that the wedding party was appropriately attired for the bridal festivities. The show took place at the Jio World Convention Centre.
In an off-white georgette zardozi appliqué embroidered choli and lehenga with mukaish organza dupatta and rose pink tulle veil, actor and longtime friend Mouni Roy closed the show.
The silhouettes range from anti-fit and large to overtly seductive. The collection’s vitality radiates a profound embracing of one’s sex appeal and a feminine edge. Expect more experimental and deconstructed Indian wear, such as pants with tie-up half lehengas, ruffled blouses, hip cut-outs, and festive pantsuits, in addition to the brand’s signature silhouettes like kalidar shararas and tie-back cholis. The embroideries and prints use a palette with primarily neutral bases broken by splashes of color, simulating brush strokes. Bandhani textures mixed with zardozi, mukaish, and woollen thread work in this colelction.
The ideal PS Girl, a global citizen eager to match her Indian ancestry with her global lifestyle, has long been envisioned in the PS universe. Customers of PS are located throughout the map, which we have always seen as a blank canvas on which to paint our collections and their distinctiveness. Four influential individuals from throughout the world took to the ramp namely Natasha Moor, Roshni Chopra, Kompal Matta Kapoor, and Nicole Mehta from LA.
Payal created colorful, soft, short jackets with cuffed pants for her male clientele as well as unstructured jackets with matching trousers, a bomber jacket worn with a kurta set, kurta shirts, an elaborate bundie paired with a glittering kurta/churidar combo, and some straightforward conventional kurtas.
Payal Singhal’s “Painterly” collection of holiday bridal trousseau apparel was all about art, color, and a varied look at fashion for the modern dressers and was aimed at the international, jet-setting crowd.
