The Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII) successfully hosted a national seminar on the theme Immense Potential of MSMEs in a Developed Bengal at the ICCR Auditorium in Kolkata in honor of International MSME Day 2026. Leaders in the industry, government officials, banking and financial institutions, startups, academics, and entrepreneurs all made significant contributions to the event. The seminar delivered a powerful message and a shared commitment to establishing West Bengal as the nation’s premier center for industry and entrepreneurship.

The program received great support from Infrafusion Engineering Limited (IFL).

Dignitaries gracing the event were Minister Deepak Barman, Dr. Shankar Ghosh, Dr. Indranil Khan, and Ashok Dinda.

They underlined how crucial it is to give the MSME sector top priority since it is a major force behind economic expansion, job creation, innovation, and independence.

Comprehensive talks on important subjects like industrial policy reforms, credit availability, digital transformation, AI-driven manufacturing, technological innovation, export promotion, startup development, women entrepreneurs, skill development, and rural industrial expansion were all included in the seminar. All participants agreed that West Bengal could become a major hub for MSMEs and manufacturing if the government, business community, and financial institutions worked together.

During the event, an upbeat song about entrepreneurship and industrial development was also released, encouraging attendees’ confidence and excitement.

With the assistance of Infrafusion Engineering Limited (IFL), free sewing machines were given to economically disadvantaged women as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. By encouraging self-employment, financial independence, and sustainable livelihoods, this program hopes to support rural economic growth.

The presence of renowned spiritual leaders was one of the seminar’s highlights. Eminent figures, including Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Paramatmanand Giri Ji Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission, Padma Shri Swami Pradiptanand Ji Maharaj (Kartik Maharaj) of Bharat Sevashram Sangh, and Maharaj Hiranyamay Goswami Ji, highlighted how industry, entrepreneurship, labor, and nation-building are complementary, and promoted group involvement in the goal of industrial development.

Prominent businesspeople and industrialists were honored for their contributions to entrepreneurship, innovation, and industrial expansion during the event. Dr. Ajit Kumar Jain, Sanjay Goenka, Anil Chanani, and Somnath Adukia were among the honorees.

Vice President Devdutt Banerjee, National Economic Advisor Shobhit Chhavchharia, FASII West Bengal Chairman Sanjay Sureka, and other office bearers and members contributed to the event’s successful execution.

Finally, the organizers thanked all of the attendees, participants, financial institutions, industry representatives, and partner organizations. They restated FASII’s dedication to encouraging stakeholder cooperation, supporting entrepreneurship, and realizing its goal of making West Bengal Vishwakarma Bengal.
