“There are many firsts for me with this film. I have worked with these four fine actors for the first time. I worked for the first time with Eskay Movies and also my debut shoot abroad. The main crux of the story is about people living abroad who live in a dangerous way. The film deals with these kinds of individuals. Hence the shoot of this film could not have been done anywhere else. The crises they face are all different. This is also the first time that my film is a drama, mystery, and noir as well” said the director.

Kaushik Ganguly plays Srikanto. “This is an interesting role. I had no idea what a homeless man could do. I thought that a homeless guy would be depressed. But this character is not depressed. He does not want a house. He wants to be free like an animal. His only desire is to observe other human beings”.

The actor shared interesting events about the character. “I looked so homeless that people used to avoid me. One woman even offered me food. When I used to take the lift, people avoided that lift. Hence this is a great success on the part of the director to make me look so convincingly homeless” said Kaushik Ganguly.

Anindita Bose who plays Ayesha said that the character is independent. She has been living in London for a long time. “I had to get to the gray zone of Ayesha. In reality, I am a black-and-white kind of person. Either something is black for me or white for me. With this character, I explored the gray zone. Atanu da helped me a lot to understand Ayesha and portray it well. After working with the director, I understood that I had a lot to learn” said the actress.

Saheb Bhattacharya said that the younger generation of actors in the Bengali film fraternity was unlucky as they did not get the chance to work with eminent directors. However, he considered himself lucky as he got to work with two of the finest directors in Bengal- Atanu Ghosh and Kaushik Ganguly.

“Not many directors can visualize a scene frame by frame by closing their eyes. Atanu da and Kaushik da both are able to do that. My character had a turbulent past. There are many layers to the character. Aritro’s parents are no more. They died in an accident. However, he believes that they were murdered. The character is multi-layered” said the actor.

Saheb also added that many directors are now focusing on the business aspect of making films. However one must forget that it is a creative medium.

Tasnia Farin will be seen in the role of Pratiksha in the film. “When the series was released, I got different feedback from the people. The biggest surprise was bagging this role in Atanu da’s film. At first, I could not believe that I got such an offer. When I heard the story of the film, I understood that this was the best film that I could start my career here with” said the actress.

Tasnia also said, “My character has few dialogues and her expressions do most of the job. Hence that was challenging for me to enact everything with the help of my expressions”.

This is the tenth film of National Award-winning director Atanu Ghosh.

The film is produced by Eskay Movies.

The film is eyeing for release on 3rd February.
