Actor turned director Riddhi Sen attended the press conference of his short film Coldfire at the 26th Kolkata International Film Festival.

“I selected Nabarun Bhattacharya’s short story of the same name as I felt that the class struggles depicted in his film were present in the past, are present now, and will also be present in the future too. This will not change and hence I felt that his stories are very relevant and topical. We have set the story in 2029 in a distant future” said Riddhi Sen.
The short film is of thirty-three minutes duration. The producer of the film is Samiran Das. The cinematographer of the film is Tiyash Sen. The editor of Coldfire is Sumit Chowdhury.
The music of the film has been composed by Prabuddha Banerjee. Speaking at the event, director Riddhi Sen said “The film has been made by a young team. However, we took Prabuddha jethu for composing the music because he likes to be with young people and is younger at heart than many of us. His experience also matters a lot too”.
The cast of the short film consists of Koushik Sen, Somak Ghosh, Koushik Chatterjee, and Reshmi Sen.
Riddhi mentioned that his next film will be a feature film. The film will be a love story between an individual and the city of Kolkata.
