Star Jalsha’s new serial Kothha brings together the enthralling tales of two disparate characters, Kathakali Basu and Agnibha Guha.

Kothha, also known as Kathakali Basu, is a nature lover with a remarkable connection to plants and trees. She takes tremendous care of her plants, even using unusual techniques like employing cow dung, because she genuinely believes that each plant is a living thing. This has earned her the amusing nickname Miss Gobordebi. Even though Kothha lives in Gobordanga with her maternal uncle and aunt, she is a strong woman who sets the rules for the home and is doubtful of finding a compatible partner because she doesn’t trust men.

On the other hand, meet Agnibha, well known as AV, Kolkata’s flamboyant celebrity chef with a spirit of rebellion. AV decides to follow his route and establishes Mom’s Cafe instead of working for his family’s company. This endeavor is motivated by his love of trying new recipes and his irresistible charisma, especially when it comes to women.

When Kothha and AV’s paths cross, a story of mystery, divergent lifestyles, and the erratic nature of love ensues. Will their differences cause them to clash, or will they inspire a surprising bond that goes beyond each of their worlds?

Susmita Dey will be seen as Kathakali Basu and Saheb Bhattacharya will play the role of Agnibha Guha.

Kothha will start airing on Star Jalsha SD and HD channels from 15th December, Friday onwards Mon-Sun at 7:00 PM.
