With great success, the 26th National Conference of the National Human Resource Development Network (NHRDN), themed Beyond Tomorrow, has come to an end. This captivating two-day event was held in Kolkata on April 5 and 6 at the Hotel Taj Taal Kutir Convention Centre.

The conference, themed Beyond Tomorrow, sought to capture the essence of the HR industry’s future while navigating the complexities of newly developing work patterns, projecting the skills that the workforce of the future would need, and investigating the potentially revolutionary effects of cutting-edge HR practices.

The attendees set out on a voyage of discovery, learning from eminent keynote speakers and participating in thought-provoking panel discussions about the latest developments in global human resources. Mr. Prem Singh, the President of Group HR at JK Organisation and National President of NHRDN, gave the opening speech.

Prem Singh, National President, of NHRDN & President, of Group HR at JK Organization, stated, “With the subject of Beyond Tomorrow, the 26th National Conference of NHRDN brought us together with a clear vision: to steer the field towards a future in which HR surpasses traditional bounds. Additionally, how NHRDN may help realize the goal of India becoming a developed nation by 2047. This occasion acted as a spark for creativity, teamwork, and change in the HR sector. Our group’s goal is to equip HR professionals with the skills, information, and understanding necessary to successfully negotiate the intricacies of today’s workplace and promote long-term development”.

Ranjan Banerjee, President, of NHRDN Kolkata Chapter and Group Head of Human Resources at Berger Paints, along with Vinay Ranjan, Regional President, of NHRDN East and Director Personnel at Coal India,  inaugurated the conference. The event also marked the launch of a new book by NHRDN.

After the keynote address, the different sessions explored cutting-edge themes such as leveraging AI for strategic insights, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), integrating blockchain in HR tech, redefining talent management strategies, enhancing employer branding efforts, addressing mental health challenges in the workplace, and reimagining leadership for the future, and many more.

Young HR leaders were expected to obtain significant insights, exchange ideas, and improve their professional skills from the two-day seminar. Furthermore, the networking opportunities that the event offered allowed them to create lasting relationships, work together with colleagues, and establish a strong support system within the HR community. In the end, this conference gave young HR professionals a platform to empower themselves, spur creativity, and advance advancements in the field of HR.
