NAAD- Music & Dance Festival is the brainchild of Pandit Bickram Ghosh. It is a unique music and dance festival presented by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kolkata, Pandit Shankar Ghosh Tabla Foundation in association with the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Pandit Bickram Ghosh is the curator and also the director of this festival.

The announcement of the dance and music festival was done in the presence of Pandit Bickram Ghosh, Jaya Seal Ghosh, Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Debasish Bhattacharya, Guru Sharmila Biswas, Pandit Gopal Burman, and Vidwan S Sekhar.

Speaking at the occasion, Pandit Bickram Ghosh said “Youngsters in today’s times are less inclined towards classical music. They do not listen to these forms of music so much. With this festival, I am trying to make them aware of the rich traditions in music in India. This is free for all festival and I hope people attend it in huge numbers”.

25^th March- Pandit Debasis Bhattacharya, Vidwan Rajesh Vaidhya, Vidwan S. Sekhar, and Pandit Anindyo Chatterjee will perform at the opening sequence in a North-South jugalbandi. This will be followed by Rakesh Chaurasia and Anubrata Chatterjee.

26^th March- Bharat Natyam performance by Vidushi Rama Vaidyanathan and will be followed by Classical Sarod and Tabla jugalbandi featuring Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar and Pandit Tanmoy Bose.

27^th March- Vidushi Sharmila Biswas will perform a mesmerizing Odishi dance performance.

The final act will showcase Drums of India with Pandit Bickram Ghosh on tabla, Vidwan V Suresh on Ghatam, Bhardwaj Sathravalli on Morsing, and Gopal Barman on Srikhol.

The festival will be an annual event, announced Pandit Bickram Ghosh.

NAAD will take place at GD Birla Sabhaghar from 25^th to 27^th March, 6 pm onwards.
