Poetry Book Khobor Ache By Actor Sourav Chakraborty Released
A collection of poems titled “Khobor Ache” written by Sourav Chakraborty and published by Shalidhan was released at Oxford Bookstore.
He made his poetry debut with the book “One Drop of Happiness” in the fifth grade. This cycle kept going and poetry was no longer a chore. The second poetry book, “Achena Alo Rekha,” was released two years later, while the third poetry book, “Ekante Abhimanyu,” was released at the 2002 book fair. Writing and theatre practice both started simultaneously.
He started acting and directing as he moved up the career ladder. Despite garnering loving praise in these two addicting careers, his first love of poetry has remained by his side throughout it all. He currently serves as the director of the production business Trickster and Spawn, but he still finds time to write poems.
Sourav Chakraborty’s fourth book of poems is titled Khobor Ache. This book is a collection of poems that spans roughly 20 years. This hardbound book contains 36 poems. These poems not only showcase Sourav’s lyrical ability but also his social and political views. “Khobor Ache” is Sourav’s tribute to his late father. Saurabh Mitra is the cover and illustration artist of the book. Rudradeep Chand, a poet, has authored the book’s foreword.
“This is my poetry book after 14 or 15 years. For the film or web series press conferences, I know what to say. But I don’t know what to say today. My first book came out when I was in class five. Then the second one came out in seventh grade and the last book was in class nine. After that, I got busy with acting and direction. Writing took a backseat. However, it was during the pandemic that I again started writing on Facebook. I received great appreciation and feedback. Hence all my thoughts have been collected and presented in the form of Khobor Ache. I hope the readers like it” said Sourav Chakraborty.
