On the death anniversary of legendary Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, the prevue of the upcoming Bengali film Oti Uttam was released at his residence.

Gracing the occasion was director Srijit Mukherji and the cast of the film consisting of Gourab Chatterjee, Roshni Bhattacharya, Anindya Sengupta, and others.

A guy is unsuccessful in his love life. He is a big fan of the legend, Uttam Kumar. His friend Gourab (Gourab Chatterjee) criticizes him and tells him that he is a big fan of Uttam Kumar. He questions how he cannot be successful in his romance. The heartbroken guy then Plan-chets and Uttam Kumar come to his rescue. However, he had a few conditions before helping the guy. How the legendary actor becomes a love guru for this young man and helps him to get his love is what Oti Uttam is all about.

The team paid their respect to the legendary actor before the release of the prevue of the film.

The prevue gives an interesting glimpse of Uttam Kumar acting as the love guru in the film. Footages from different films by Uttam Kumar have been used in the film and reconstructed in the film.

Speaking at the event, the director said “The biggest challenge was getting the clips of the late actor. Many production houses have closed down. I had to find the exact clips that could be used in the film and which would help in portraying the best emotions in a scene. It was challenging indeed”.

Gourab Chatterjee said, “When we were shooting, Uttam Kumar was not there. Now when I saw the prevue, I felt that I wanted to see it more. It felt surreal and it was such an amazing experience to me”.

With Uttam Kumar coming back on the big screens, audiences will surely be waiting for the release of Oti Uttam.
