S2 Films was started with the sole aim of giving a platform to the newcomers who despite having talent cannot make it big in the industry. Sneha Mukherjee, owner of S2 films was initially a journalist herself. However she had the latent desire to become an actress and a director. With much support from family and friends, she took the daring step of opening up a production house to further her dreams.

A contest was organized with the actors of S2 Films on 2^nd October. The nominations for the short film were Mukto Ami/ Rong, Roop Kothar Bastob and Sesh Dekha.

The winners of the contest were Barun Samaddar and Joyjit Roy. The winners were presented with the prize by eminent actor Arunava Dutta.
