Aakash Aath announced the launch of the series ‘Sahityer Shera Somoy’. The first Bengali classic that will be aired is Shwet Patharer Thala.

Gracing the press conference were Debdut Ghosh, Sneha Das, FahimMirza, Reshmi Bhattacharya, Joyetri Chowdhury, Abhijit Deb Rai, and Rupsha Mondal. The author of Shwet Patharer Thala, Bani Basu, and the Directors of Aakash Aath, Eshita Surana Poddar, and Priyanka Surana Bardia also attended the press conference.

The director of this series is Manish Ghosh.

Sahityer Shera Somoy’s journey began in 2001. Its unique concept was fostered by the Late Shri Ashok Surana, the doyen of the Bengali television business. The main goal of this initiative was to introduce young people in particular to the depth and splendor of Bengali literature via the classic works of its illustrious authors.

Readers of all ages continue to be drawn to the story of “Shwet Patharer Thala.” The story outlines “Bandana’s” emotional journey. The untimely death of her husband in a deadly car accident causes this lovable woman’s joyful and blissful marriage to collapse, leaving her in a state of profound sadness. The compelling plot is around how she overcomes the obstacles and cynicism that society imposes on her with the help of her one and only son.

Apart from ‘Shwet Patharer Thala’, ‘Sahityer Shera Somoy’ will also air novels like ‘Kodi Diye Kinlam’ by Late Shri Bimal Mitra, ‘Kancher Dewal’ by Late Smt. Suchitra Bhattacharya and ‘Agnipariksha’ by Padmashree Late Ashapurna Devi and many more.

‘Shwet Patharer Thala’ in ‘Sahityer Shera Somoy’ will be aired from 2^nd January 2023, every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 pm.
