As an accomplished economist with over 46 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious international journals specializing in energy economics and policy, Anandajit Goswami is also a three-time award-winning author. In addition to being a scholar, he is a multifaceted person who plays sports and is a musician, with songs featured in Jashn E Adab. Indian Literary Review and The Hindu have praised Goswami’s literary works, which represent groundbreaking advances in Indian literature.

Regarding his writing endeavors, Goswami has written six works of fiction and six books of scholarly reference. Especially noteworthy is the fact that “Lucy Ebong Shei Trainti” is the first book in a ground-breaking science fiction trilogy about sustainability. The enigmatic thriller, which moves forward in time and is set in a dystopian, post-humanistic society with a cast of characters on a train, examines the difficulties associated with sustainability. The story takes a surprising turn at the end, offering several solutions for a happy world while making use of metaphors related to the human mind, dreams, humanitarian love, understanding, creativity, and Lucy’s embodiment of youth.

Goswami’s commitment to social empowerment is channeled through The TOHRI Foundation, which has received recognition from institutions such as the All India Human Rights Council and NADA Foundation. He is a Ph.D. holder in Energy Economics and a post-graduate in Economics from JNU. He is the director and professor of the Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. He also works at the Ashoka Centre for People-Centric Energy Transition as a Research Fellow.

Goswami collaborates with CRY and WWF to support animal and kid rights. His efforts to promote climate action through music are resonant with the POP Movement, which is affiliated with the World Sustainable Development Forum. He has had a lasting impact in several areas through his advisory skills to UNECA, UNIDO, the Copenhagen Consensus Centre, NITI Aayog, and the State Governments of Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.
