Shyam Sundar Co Jewellers announced Sharad Sundari 2021 in the presence of Rupak Saha, Director, Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers, Rituparna Sengupta, Aritra Roy Chowdhury, Director, Khukumoni Personal Care, and Monisha Sen, a former Sharad Sundari title-winner.

Sharad Sundari is a popular annual competition organized to find the face with the most festive look during the Durga Puja time. The event is in its 11the year.

Despite the ongoing pandemic scare, last year the event saw a participation of 15, 500 contestants.

Rupak Saha said that he had received requests from married women that they want to take part in Sharad Sundari too. So Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers have taken the initiative this year and introduced Shrimati Sharad Sundari for married women.

Rituparna Sengupta had been part of all the initiatives of Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers. She has been part of all the store openings and also part of all the Sharad Sundari events. She only could not be a part of the Sharad Sundari event last year as she was in Singapore.

“During the pandemic when I was in Singapore, I wrote a concept named Rishta (relationships). How human relationships were hampered during the pandemic made me write about this concept. We all need to stress more the importance of human relationships and bonds. We need to strengthen it. This association is important. Colors Asia Pacific Channel bought the idea and they asked me to say motivational things. I really felt grateful as I could spread such positive words among the people” said Rituparna.

“Sharad Sundari has made a huge difference in my life. People see me in a new way. The quality of the projects has improved and I have been getting good modeling offers. When I began the journey for Sharad Sundari, I had just begun modeling and I was unsure whether I will win. But I won the pageant. I will urge the participants this year to be confident and believe in their abilities. As all women are different and unique in their own ways” said Monisha Sen.

The grand finale of Sharad Sundari 2021 will take place on 27^th November 2021.
