On the occasion of Anupam Roy’s birthday, Windows released the first song of Belashuru titled Shohage Adore at DKS.

Gracing the occasion was singer Anupam Roy, director Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Monami Ghosh, Anindya Chatterjee, and others.

Belashuru is the sequel to the highest grosser of 2015- Belaseshe. Belashuru narrates the story of an elderly couple Biswanath Majumdar and his wife Arati Majumdar. It shows the changes in relationships in a Bengali family.

Shohage Adore has been sung by Anupam Roy. The lyrics and composition have also been done by them.

Speaking at the event, Anupam Roy said “I am ecstatic at the love that Windows showered on me on my birthday. This is among the best birthday gift. My journey with Windows has been nothing short of a grand musical adventure. I have even composed a children’s song for Posto that was out of my normal musical compositions. With the music I composed for this film, I hope that the audience will shower the same love”.

The film is the last movie of legendary actors Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta.

The cast of the film consists of RituparnaSengupta, AparajitaAdhya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Indrani Dutta, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Monami Ghosh, and Anindya Chatterjee.

Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee said “In today’s times when people are ending their relationships, Belshuru will show how to renew the relationships. It is like a love story. What has been memorable is that my first scene was playing the Esraj in front of Soumitra Chatterjee. That has become so popular that I get calls for playing Esraj on shows. However, thanks to Shibu (Shiboprosad) I got to listen to Soumitra Chatterjee reciting a poem on my birthday in Shantiniketan. A surreal experience for me!!”

Monami Ghosh looked pretty in a floral short dress. The actress said, “There are many films that I have done and many I will do in the future. But there will be some films that will shine in my filmography, and Belaseshe and Belashuru are two such films”.

Shiboprosad Chatterjee said that though the bodies of the legendary actors may be gone from the world, their works remain. And he was glad that he got to work with legendary actors like Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta.

The music of the film has been composed by Anupam Roy and Anindya Chattopadhyay.

The film will release on 20^th May.
