Singer Eman Choudhury, popularly known as Rehaa released her first Bengali single Ami recently in the presence of the singer, Joy Sarkar, Reshmi Mitra, Babul Bose, Bappaa Aurindam, Gautam Susmit, and others.

Ami is a fresh change for the regular dilemma of being surrounded. It shows how an artist is moving through the chaos and finds solace in her own time and space. It also shows how an artist is her own lover, her own celebration, and her own masterpiece. It shows how young individuals are finding a way to connect with themselves and transitioning from the spaces they cannot relate to.

Singer Rehaa was among the top 10 finalists of Indian Idol Junior 2013. She went to Mumbai to complete her graduation. She sang in Bollywood movies and also sang with Sukhwinder Singh in a Marathi film. Her last single Saawariya has also been well appreciated.

Since the singer hails from Assam and not many Bengali songs are written there, she came to Kolkata to make her mark in the Bengali singing industry.

“The song was initially going to release in 2020 but got delayed due to the pandemic. Once you hear the song, you will understand that this is relatable to everyone. This song is for everyone” said the singer.

The video is directed by Luma Pixels and shot by Maaruf Bin Rafique.

The lyrics of the song are by Smarajit Bandyopadhyay and the composer of this song is Bappaa Aurindam.

Bappaa Aurindam said that we often take loneliness in a negative manner. But with the song, the singer has proved that even loneliness can also be positive.

Joy Sarkar said “When you make a song with a lot of heart and effort, it is bound to be good. Not only are we alone, but even the songs have also become alone. Now songs are released as singles and I am looking forward to her song”.

Reshmi Ghosh highlighted the fact that with a little bit of support, Rehaa can go a long way in her singing career. She met her during a family trip and was pleased with her achievements till now and also with the way she presented herself.
