In partnership with Jhore Jole Jongole, an eco-heritage project, Florence, a mental health initiative headed by filmmaker Shrestha Ganguly, celebrated World Forest Day with a heartfelt afforestation drive. The event, which brought together purpose, sustainability, and community impact, was held at Offbeat CCU, the official venue partner.

The initiative, which was connected to Avirup Sengupta’s Prayas, saw the happy involvement of special children who planted saplings and made meaningful, healing connections with nature. The drive promoted an inclusive environment for expression, education, and healing while highlighting the close relationship between environmental responsibility and mental health.

Avirup Sengupta, a well-known Odissi dancer renowned for his artistic brilliance and commitment to social causes, was instrumental in incorporating the children of Prayas into the project. His ongoing efforts to promote empowerment and inclusivity via art gave the occasion a profoundly motivating element.

By promoting mindful interaction with nature, Florence continues to promote mental health. The kids’ excitement and involvement created a strong sense of community and emphasized the value of inclusivity and group responsibility.

As the venue partner, Offbeat CCU offered a welcoming and thoughtful environment that complemented the initiative’s goals, and the partnership with Jhore Jole Jongole reinforced the message of sustainable living and ecological consciousness.

Shrestha Ganguly stressed the value of fostering both the environment and mental health at the event, particularly in the fast-paced world of today, where such grounded experiences can have a long-lasting positive impact.

The afforestation campaign serves as a reminder that modest, group efforts to protect the environment can have a significant impact on both the environment and human consciousness.
