Sreemoyee Piu Kundu’s Memoir Everything Changes Out Now
In a world where change is the only constant, renowned novelist Sreemoyee Piu Kundu is prepared to enthrall readers once more with her most recent literary masterpiece, an inspirational memoir titled “Everything Changes”. The eagerly anticipated book launch event was held at The Park Hotel, where literary fans, distinguished guests, and media representatives gathered to celebrate the publication of this intensely private and introspective work.
Critically regarded author Sreemoyee Piu Kundu is renowned for her vivid storytelling and distinctive narrative style. Her earlier works have won a lot of praise for sensitively and deeply addressing modern themes. Another important literary work, “Everything Changes” demonstrates Sreemoyee’s skill at crafting gripping tales that have a deep emotional impact on readers.
The title of the memoir, “Everything Changes,” alludes to the turbulent storms that have marked the author’s journey as she seeks out her true self, navigates self-discovery and the suicide of her biological father when she was just four years old, as well as the stigma and silence that face survivor families and learns to tune into the beat of resilience. Despite changing from “Transit Lounge” to “Bad Blood” to “More Than A Daughter,” this title still resonates as the most appropriate way to represent the author’s experiences. As she conducts her father’s burial on the morning of her 40th birthday, the book captures her steadfast resolve to endure, to forgive, and to come to terms with her history despite the worst setbacks.
Sreemoyee has partnered with the Lifeline Foundation to introduce their survivor program for families of those who lost a loved one to suicide for the Kolkata launch.
The Park hosted a big celebration for the book launch, which was attended by illustrious figures from the literary community and beyond. The event’s attendees were treated to a lively discussion with Sreemoyee Piu Kundu, who provided insider tips on the writing process, the inspiration for the book, and the feelings that drove her artistic endeavors.
Swastika Mukherjee, an actress and single mother, read sections from the book as former NDTV East Executive Editor Monideepa Banerjie chaired the lively debate, which covered a wide range of subjects like mental health, intimate partner abuse, single femininity, parenting, and fighting.
The literary journey “Everything Changes” encourages readers to examine the essence of life’s variation.
