The trailer launch event of Byomkesh Hotyamancha kickstarted off with a mime performance based on the theme of the film. This was followed by the trailer launch of the film.

Directed by Arindam Sil, the film stars Abir Chatterjee, Sohini Sarkar, Paoli Dam, Suhorta Mukhopadhyay, Anusha Vishwanathan, Kinjal Nanda, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Padmanabha Dasgupta in pivotal roles.

The music of the film is composed by Bickram Ghosh.

The film’s story, which is inspired by an incomplete Byomkesh story ‘Bishupal Bodh’, has been further written and completed for the film by actor-director Arindam Sil and writer Padmanabha Dasgupta for the film. It will mark Arindam Sil’s fourth Byomkesh directorial.

A series of gripping posters from the upcoming detective thriller has been tempting the Byomkesh fans, according to Abir Chatterjee, who is bringing Byomkesh back to big screens after a four-year absence. “The recently published teaser also set a high standard, and the formal trailer rollout is currently underway. Even in terms of the commercial element, the plot is masterfully integrated, and we are also awaiting the audience’s judgement” added the actor.

With great enthusiasm for his fourth Byomkesh film as a filmmaker, Arindam Sil remarked, “This fourth Byomkesh directorial was totally a different equation to solve. The small additions that were made to an already colossal inscription were carefully considered. I am hoping the audience will react with the same acclaim that my earlier Byomkesh flicks did”.

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay’s who plays Byomkesh’s confidant Ajit said, “It feels amazing to be a part of such a major project, and playing the role of Ajit is a dream come true. Be it in books or on the big screen, Byomkesh is a beloved character, thus working on screen with Abir Da under the direction of Arindam Da was unquestionably a tremendous learning experience. As an actor, I eagerly anticipate the reaction and acceptance of the audience.

‘Byomkesh Hotyamancha’ is scheduled to release on 11th August 2022.
