Rituparna Sengupta and Mahishasur Marddini along with Team Life Beyond Cancer were present at Nandan for a screening of Mahishasur Marddini.

Also gracing the occasion were Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee and Sreela Majumdar.

Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee said “What I like about Ranjan’s films is the way he elevates the level of the narrative. The same has been done for this film. I hope more people watch the film and show him the love that his hard work demands”.

Mahishasur Marddini is a letter of apology to women for the wrongs done through the ages that continue even to this day. The film is set in one location and tells the story of a single night.

The cast of the film consists of Rituparna Sengupta, Saswata Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Sritama Dey, Aryuun Ghosh, Arunima Halder, Abhyuday Dey, Purbasha Mal, Koushik Kar, Shaheb Bhattacherjee, and Poulomi Das.

Rituparna Sengupta said “I have always supported the works and activities of the team of Life Beyond Cancer and I will continue to support them. The fact that they came to support our film makes me feel elated and motivated. I hope the audiences also love the film”.

The music of the film has been composed by Avijit Kundu. The lyrics are by Subhadeep Kantal. The songs have been sung by Madhuri Dey and Arpita Sarkar.

The film is running at single screens and multiplexes in the city.
