Dr. Radhakrishnan Satheesan is a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon who has been working with the Apollo Group since 2010. He has amazing clinical and surgical abilities. He has also served 5 years in the Indian Army, Army Medical Corps as Captain. After discharge from the Army, he went to the USA for further studies. After working in the USA, he came back to India.
The doctor was an important part of the team that planned and successfully did the separation of Ischiopygopagus Conjoined Twins. It was the first of its kind in India. The twins were from Tanzania. The operation took 18 hours to complete. The twins are doing well now.
The Apollo Proton Cancer Center started in 2020. Dr. Radhakrishnan serves as the team leader of the Pediatric Cancer Management team.
