The trailer and music launch of the upcoming Bengali film Bhorer Pakhi took place in the presence of director Parthasarathi Joarder, Durga Santra, Rajesh Sharma, Sonali Chowdhury, Dev Sen, and others.

The story is about a 23-year-old girl who is looked after by his wicked uncle, Gouricharan, and his wife Shova. They take care of her so that they can take her property after she gets that as per the will of her deceased parents. Gouricharan plans to get her married to his brother-in-law, Madan, an illiterate and a robber by profession. On the other hand is Akash, a genuine lover but a mechanic from a poor background. Enter Pakhi’s grandfather from London who will decide whether Madan or Akash will get to marry Pakhi.

The music of the film has been composed by Dev Sen. There are three songs in the film and has been sung by Annwesha Chakroborty, Pritam, and Samayan.

“The songs in the film are a blend of yesteryear melody and modern elements. These songs will surely be played on all occasions and will be a hit during the upcoming Durga Puja” said Dev Sen.

The film pairs Saheb Bhattacharya and Durga Santra for the first time.

The other members of the cast consist of Rajesh Sharma, Paran Bandopadhyay, Biswanath Basu, Sonali Chowdhury, and others.

Rajesh Sharma said, “If someone wants to make a good film with a limited budget, one must contact the director Parthasarathi. He has the capability to make good films with a limited budget. He is very capable indeed”.

The script and concept of the film are by Parthasarathi Joardar.

Produced by Joydev Samaddar, the film is made under the banner of Swastika Films.

The film is slated for release on 22^nd July.
