The trailer launch of the highly anticipated web series Gorky-r Ma took place recently.

Ananya Chatterjee, Sourav Das, and Darshana Banik give strong performances in the series, which is directed by renowned director Debaloy Bhattacharya.

The intense psychological thriller-drama Gorky-r Ma explores the delicate lines between perception and reality, guilt and survival, and takes place over the course of one night.

The narrative centers on Manik, a man dispatched by a vicious real estate developer to use any means necessary to purchase an old ancestral home. Manik sees this as just another concession in his quest for stability because he will soon be married.

But Labanya, a lonely widow who is fiercely protective of her privacy and quiet, lives inside the house. What starts as a planned conflict quickly devolves into an uncomfortable psychological struggle. Manik loses control when her son Gorky unexpectedly returns, making the evening tense and unpredictable.

The house becomes a cramped place where the past and present collide as the hours go by. Manik is caught between fear, guilt, and the life and wife waiting for him outside, while Labanya’s grief turns into uncertainty.

The series poses eerie queries with its shifting realities, growing silences, and hazy intentions:

What actually took place that evening? What is still concealed—and why? And how far is it possible to safeguard one’s future without totally losing oneself?

Gorky-r Ma is an experience of tension, silence, and emotional disintegration rather than merely a story.

It will debut exclusively on the Fridaay OTT platform on May 22, 2026.
