Tribute Paid To Soumitra Chatterjee And Swatilekha Sengupta At Trailer Launch Of Belashuru
The trailer launch of Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s much-awaited movie, ‘Belashuru’, took place recently.
This movie comes seven years after ‘Belaseshe’ — one of the biggest blockbusters of the last decade and the highest grosser of 2015. It also marks the last movie of Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta.
To pay tribute to Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Chatterjee, two empty chairs were kept at the event.
Rituparna Sengupta, Aparajita Adhya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Shankar Chakraborty, Indrani Dutta, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee, Monami Ghosh, and Anindya Chatterjee, are the cats of this film.
The film’s music has been composed by Anupam Roy and Anindya Chatterjee.
Belashuru is the story of an elderly couple Biswanath Majumdar and his wife, Arati Majumdar. It shows the changes in relationships within a Bengali joint family.
“We are releasing a film after two and a half years. If our entire family had been present today, it should have been a very happy occasion. However, losing Belashuru family’s parents has been a huge personal loss. The audience will be able to see Soumitrada and Swatidi together on the big screen for the last time, and the only way we can pay tribute to them is to release this film to the general public” said the director Shiboprosad Mukherjee.
The film is set to release on 20th May.
