Debi Doshomahabidya on Colors Bangla will show the ten avatars of Maa Durga.

Rituparna Sengupta will play the role of Mahishasurmardini. She will essay three avatars- Sati, Durga, and Parvati.

A press conference was organized where the actresses portraying the different avatars of Maa Durga were present.

Shruti Das will be seen as Debi Kali. “I did not many facts about the goddess before. I came to know about it during the shoot for this episode. It was a great experience as I got to portray Ma Kali on screen. I am an ardent devotee and getting this chance has been a lifetime opportunity for me”.

Titiksha Das will portray the role of Debi Bogola. “Actors find the roles that they are given challenging regularly. However, I found this character easier. I loved portraying Devi Bogola onscreen. After seeing myself on the screen, I was much more devoted to the character. It has been an enriching experience”.

Debi Tripurasundari has an exclusive look with a moon on her hand, added Deboleena Dutta. “There is a great dance sequence. I have been working with Chroma setting for many years now. So that was nothing new. But getting to portray this avatar of the Mother Goddess was something special. I watch Mahalaya every year and this year it is more special as I am a part of the special episode” added the actress with a smile.

Adrija Roy will portray the role of Debi Bhubaneshwari. “I have been a part of mythological serials before so acting in Chroma was not a problem. I did not face any challenge while mouthing the dialogues as I have spoken such dialogues before. The challenge was doing the dance sequences. I am a Western dancer and I have no idea about Classical dances. Kashmira di helped me a lot. I have tried my best to do the mudras correctly. Classical dance is something that you cannot make up on stage. It needs practice and perseverance”.

Dona Bhowmik will be seen in this special episode as Devi Kamala. The actress revealed that she was quite scared of portraying the role due to the dialogue. This is the first time that she has done such a role. She was nervous the first time she began practicing it. She added that Sairity helped her a lot.

Sairity will be seen as Debi Dhumaboti in the Mahalaya special episode. “I have done works in Chroma before. But never before had I thought that I would get the chance to portray an avatar of the Mother Goddess. This has been a great experience and I am looking forward to how I look onscreen as Debi Dhumaboti” added the actress.

Rimjhim Mitra as Debi Bhairabi, Debadrita Basu as Debi Chinnamasta, Sanghamitra Talukdar as Debi Tara, Oindrilla Sharma as Debi Matangi, will also be seen in the special episode.

Saurav Chakrabarti will be seen in the role of Mahishasur and Samrat Mukherji will play the role of Mahadeb.

The script for this event has been written by Rangan Chakraborty.

The songs have been sung by Durnibar Saha, Sovon Ganguly and Mekhla.

The music has been composed by Debajyoti Mishra.

Debi Doshomahabidya will air on 25^th September at 5 am on Colors Bangla.

Dugga Maa Er Golpo Kotha is a 2D animation story that will begin in the jungle. The lion king is worried about his subjects who are threatened by the poachers. The terrified animals report to the lion who narrates the different stories of Maa Durga and the win of good over evil. This story will be aired on 25^th September at 10 am.
