‘One World, One Health’ is the theme of IDY 2023. Yoga is one example of a living bridge that connects the people, communities, and nations of the UK and India. Yoga helps us to the root of happiness and promotes mental tranquility. The Indian philosophy of yogic life has already been embraced by many people in the UK.
Every year, as part of our celebration of the International Day of Yoga, our employees and community practice yoga together. This year, we observed the day by welcoming representatives from SKAL International Kolkata who work in the travel and tourist industry.
Yoga is about living consciously and not just doing a few poses. Being aware of our own bodies alone will not make us feel better. It is important to be attentive to our surroundings. The Vedas declare that “Vasudeva Kutumbakam“, or “the world is one family,” is true. Only if we concentrate on world healing will we be able to have a healthy existence. And it is this thought that was promoted through this activity.
