The music album of ‘X=Prem’ was unveiled in the presence of the star cast, music team, and director Srijit Mukherji.

‘X=Prem’ is a musical romantic journey that tells the story of four different people who are all linked by a single string – love. ‘X=Prem’ explores the intricacies of human emotions, the selflessness of love, and the pain that one must endure in one’s life.

The film deals with the story of a couple, Khilat – a software engineer, and Joyee. They go through various challenges and turmoil in life from an unexpected turn of events. With their eternal love and support for each other, they are determined to face any and all problems that life has thrown them into. The movie shows how they overcome the challenges through scientific methods and how the power of love can solve any and all adversaries in one’s life.

The cast of ‘X=Prem’ consists of Arjun Chakrabarty, and Madhurima Basak, along with newcomers Anindya Sengupta and Shruti Das.

Arjun Chakrabarty said “There is great magic in black and white. And the film will appeal to many people visually due to the use of black and white. The story of the film is not the typical love story. However, the audiences will be able to relate with it very much”.

Anindya Sengupta who is making his debut with this film said that it was indeed a grand opportunity for him to make his debut in a Srijit Mukherji film under the SVF banner.

Anindya and Shruti even danced to a song at the music launch event.

Music plays a pivotal role in the film. The album of ‘X=Prem’ has 6 tracks composed by debutant composer Sanai.

The songs of the film have been sung by Shreya Ghoshal, Arijit Singh, Sahana Bajpaie, Samantak Sinha, and others.

The lyrics of the songs have been penned by Dhrubojyoti Chakraborty, Barish, and Srijit Mukherji.

Srijit Mukherji wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Raikishori’.

Speaking about the film’s music, the director said “Music has been an integral part of my films. Uma was the last film for which we organized a grand music launch. And now we are back with a grand music launch for X=Prem. Young blood is very important for the progress of any industry. And I am glad that many young artists are making their mark in our industry. Sanai is a debutant composer and the compositions are awesome”.

X=Prem is all set to release on 13^th May 2022.
