Director Mujibar Rahman’s film 100 Years of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre- New Views Reflection was shown at the ongoing 27th Kolkata International Film Festival.

Gracing the press meet was the director of the film and Gauri Basu of EZCC.

The film deals with a gruesome incident in Indian history. The new findings by modern-day historians and the different parts of the incident are analyzed by researchers and professors. Different archival documents and materials have been used for the visuals in the film.

He talked with Rajsekhar Basu, Kishwar Desai, and others to know in detail about the gruesome incident. The director attributed the success of the film to the great team of experts who guided and assisted him.

The film has been produced by Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India.

After the film has been made, he even went to Amritsar and saw the actual place of the massacre.

The screenplay is by Mujibar Rahman while the editing has been done by Nittyananda Biswas.

When the director was asked whether he will make a film on his namesake, he said that he did not have any such plans now.

The director mentioned that his next film show will be on the Battle of Plassey.
