The first song from Bohurupi-The Golden Daku is now available and transports listeners to the loving, romantic world of the characters Bikram and Jhimli, played by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Koushani Mukherjee.

The song, Phool Phutechhe, was written and composed by Nonichora Das Baul, and sung by Nonichora Das Baul, Arpita Chakraborty, and Bonnie Chakraborty.

The song took almost a year to shape, according to actor and co-director Shiboprosad Mukherjee. “We experimented with a wide variety of songs and styles, but nothing worked. At last, Noni sent us a harmonium song. We felt that version belonged in the movie right away because we loved it so much,” said the actor-director.

Reminiscent of last year’s Shimul Polash, the song’s simplicity won them over.

Jhimli and Bikram are still the same, but their home life has changed. Now that they are married, a scene in which Jhimli weaves a nokshi katha represents uniting a family, according to Shiboprosad.

The Ichamati River plays a significant part in the visual journey of Phool Phutechhe, which passes through a number of unique locations. The Ichamati River in Barasat served as the backdrop for the team’s shoot, while Bikram and Jhimli’s house in a traditional potters’ neighborhood, or kumorpara, was situated on the opposite bank. Additionally, the decision was a deliberate extension of Jhimli’s relationship with ceramics, which was established in the first movie.

The team traveled to Purba Bardhaman, Bolpur, Malda, and Bishnupur for various scenes while filming the prison scenes at Alipore Jail, Taki, and Barasat.

Some of Bengal’s historic architectural landmarks were also included in the production. Parts of the song were filmed inside the Bara Sona Masjid in Malda, and the famous Rasmancha in Bishnupur served as another striking setting.
