StarManch, a domestic karaoke and social music platform from India, has joined the connected-mobility market by integrating with the recently released MG Hector Tomahawk. The innovation expands StarManch’s reach beyond smartphones and adds a unique interactive karaoke experience to the car’s entertainment system.

Inside the car, passengers can choose songs, sing along, and record their performances using the StarManch Karaoke app. With over 8,000 karaoke songs from Bollywood, regional, devotional, and children’s music, the platform turns the car cabin into an engaging entertainment area for friends, family, and music lovers.

According to the manufacturer, the MG Hector Tomahawk has the first Gen AI-powered in-car karaoke system in India. The StarManch experience encourages passengers to actively participate, perform, and make shared musical memories, in contrast to traditional in-car entertainment, which mostly concentrates on listening to streamed music.

For StarManch, which was started by Bengali businessman and music lover Randeep Bhattacharya, the integration is a major growth. StarManch began as a mobile karaoke app and has since developed into an entertainment technology solution for connected cars. It was originally intended as a platform to make singing accessible and social.

StarManch wants to make travel more interesting and participatory, whether it’s through families singing together on a weekend trip, friends listening to well-known songs again while traveling, or aspiring singers using music to boost their confidence.

The development also demonstrates how Indian tech companies are increasingly contributing to the connected-mobility ecosystem. Interactive features like karaoke are extending the role of in-car entertainment beyond traditional audio and video streaming as cars become more and more digitally enabled lifestyle spaces.

Speaking about the development, Randeep Bhattacharya, Founder of StarManch, said, “Kolkata has always been a city where music is woven into everyday life. Growing up here inspired my love for music and storytelling. Our vision with StarManch has always been to make singing more accessible and social. Taking karaoke beyond smartphones and into people’s everyday journeys is an important step in that direction. We do not want people to simply listen to music—we want them to become part of it.”

The integration shows how an Indian-made entertainment platform can be incorporated into mainstream automotive experiences and opens a new growth avenue for StarManch beyond mobile devices. Additionally, connected vehicles are increasingly seen as interactive venues for shared experiences, entertainment, and communication, which reflects shifting consumer expectations.
