As part of the esteemed East India Fertility Conclave, INSPIRE 2026, Desun Hospital, in collaboration with ISAR Bengal, hosted a National-Level Master Class on Hysteroscopy at Desun Hospital, Kolkata. Leading gynecologists, fertility specialists, medical professionals, and postgraduate trainees from across the nation came together for the live Continuing Medical Education (CME) workshop to improve clinical expertise in contemporary gynecological and reproductive healthcare through interactive academic sessions, hands-on learning, and live surgical demonstrations.

One of the most important diagnostic and therapeutic instruments in modern gynecology, hysteroscopy, was the focus of the educational program. The workshop sought to enhance patient outcomes, promote minimally invasive treatment approaches in women’s healthcare, and advance reproductive care by fusing theoretical knowledge with practical clinical application.

The Master Class was led by Convenors Dr. Ayan Mukhopadhyay, Consultant Gynaecologist, Desun Hospital, and Dr. Monika Kumari, Consultant Gynaecologist & IVF Specialist, Desun Hospital.

The workshop was attended by medical professionals from Bengal and other healthcare facilities.

The live procedure sessions, which gave participants a chance to witness sophisticated hysteroscopic procedures and surgical decision-making in real time, were a major highlight of the program. Important procedures such as septum resection, submucous fibroid resection, cornual cannulation, and diagnostic saline vaginoscopy and hysteroscopy were demonstrated, depending on the availability of cases. Best practices for minimally invasive gynecological surgery and strategies for managing complications were also covered in the sessions.
